HONEYMOON IN VEGAS, the eagerly anticipated new musical with book by Blazing Saddles and Fletch writer Andrew Bergman and score by three-time Tony Award-winner Jason Robert Brown, just announced additional casting and creative team for Broadway. In addition, single tickets for the production are on sale to the general public today via Ticketmaster.com.
Joining previously announced stars Tony nominee Rob McClure, Brynn O'Malley, and Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominee Tony Danza, will be David Josefsberg (Motown The Musical), Tony Award nominee Nancy Opel (Urinetown), and Matthew Saldivar (Peter and the Starcatcher). The Broadway premiere of Honeymoon in Vegas reunites all six principal actors who appeared in the acclaimed world premiere of the new musical at Papermill Playhouse. Ensemble casting for Honeymoon in Vegas will be announced in the coming weeks.
In addition to director Gary Griffin and choreographer Denis Jones, the creative team for Honeymoon in Vegas will feature three-time Tony Award nominee Anna Louizos (scenic design), Emmy Award winner Brian C. Hemesath (costume design), Tony Award winner Howell Binkley (lighting design), Tony Award winner Scott Lehrer & Drama Desk Award winner Drew Levy (sound design), Tony and Grammy Award winner Don Sebesky(orchestrations), Larry Blank and Charlie Rosen (additional orchestrations), Tom Murray (music director), and Charles G. LaPointe (hair and wig design).
HONEYMOON IN VEGAS will play Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street) with previews beginning Tuesday, November 18, 2014 for a Thursday, January 15, 2015 opening night.
HONEYMOON IN VEGAS tells the story of Jack Singer (Rob McClure), a regular guy with an extreme fear of marriage, who finally gets up the nerve to ask his girlfriend Betsy (Brynn O'Malley) to marry him. But when they head to Las Vegas to get hitched, smooth talking gambler Tommy Korman (Tony Danza), looking for a second chance at love, falls head over heels for Betsy. What happens next is anybody's bet!
