David Ippolito celebrated his 25th summer as "That Guitar Man from Central Park," which started on June 14, 1992. That day this New-York native unknowingly began his long and colorful career entertaining hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers, and tourists from across this country and around the world by the Lake in NYC's iconic Central Park. At the end of each year, for too many years to actually count, Ippolito has ended his season with a sold-out celebratory concert. Joined by the CSD Band, Ippolito brings his unique mix of original tunes about love and life, filled with humor and satire, interspersed with a handful of well-known covers that trigger the entire audience to stand up and sing along.

Ippolito welcomes George Wurzbach on piano, Ryan Cavan on drums, Chris Tedesco on the fiddle, Dan Paccione on bass, and Teresa Reynolds on vocals, along with special surprise guests, which in the past have included veteran folk singer Christine Lavin and Jimmy Buffet's original guitarist, Roger Bartlett.

Ippolito is an award-winning singer/songwriter with nine self-produced albums of original music and a playwright, with several works in progress, including The Green Room, for which he is in talks to bring to the New York stage in 2017. He has become a beloved New York icon, known for creating an intimate "It's Just Us" feeling. Saturdays on the "Hill" are a well-known and documented draw in Central Park, included in travel guides, articles and books.

In a career where few independent artists thrive, David Ippolito marks the end of his 25th year as NYC's own "That Guitar Man From Central Park." While much has changed in the world over 25 years, Ippolito's continued draw in Central park remains his ability to create a unique experience centered around music celebrated annually in December as he closes out his outdoor season on the "Hill".
