Blue Coyote Theater Group and Access Theater will present David Foley's comedy-drama Paradise, directed by Gary Shrader (Busted Jesus Comix) from Friday, February 3 for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 26; opening night is Monday, February 6 at 8 PM.

"A sophisticated and witty look at how we live now, Paradise follows three Manhattan couples (and a dissolute priest) who inadvertently set off a chain of events that leads to consequences none of them could have foreseen. Pieced together like a beautiful mosaic, this sombre comedy-drama eavesdrops on their poignant and often very funny musings on love and faith, as each couple searches for connection, lasting passion, and (perhaps) redemption," according to press notes.

Foley's plays have been performed in the United States, London, Paris, Rome, Brussels, and the Netherlands. Recent productions include Sad Hotel at Minds Eye Theatre in Kansas City and Suffering the Witch at Théâtre de Poche in Brussels (under the title American Witch). Other productions include The Last Days of Madalyn Murray O'Hair, In Exile and Cressida Among the Greeks (both at the Ohio Theatre), Sad Hotel at the White Barn Theatre in Westport, Connecticut, and The Murders at Argos at FringeNYC. He has received the Dramarama Award for Cressida and the Southwest Theatre Association Award for Suffering the Witch. Sad Hotel was nominated for the 2001 American Theatre Critics Association New Play Award.

The cast features Nathalie Altman, Bruce Barton, Michael Bell, Robert Buckwalter, Tracey Gilbert, John Koprowski, Tom Ligon, Jonna McElrath, Lana Marks, Joseph Melendez, Gregory Northrop and Brandon Wolcott. The show features scenic design by Laura Jellinek and lighting design by Evan O'Brient.

The performance schedule is Wednesday –Sunday at 8:00 PM with an
added performance on Monday, February 6 and no performance on Wednesday, February 8. Performances are at the Access Theater (380 Broadway, just north of White Street). Tickets are $15 and are available by calling SmartTix at 212-868-4444 or online at www.smarttix.com.
