Darlene Love and ABBA Among Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Nominees

Former HAIRSPRAY star Darlene Love and Swedish music group ABBA, whose music is showcased in the blockbuster Broadway musical MAMMA MIA! and the principles of which contributed to the scores of CHESS and the upcoming KRISTINA, are among the nominees for inclusion in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.

Five talents will be inducted next March, with the announcement of the winners due in December of this year. Other nominees include Kiss, LL Cool J, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Genesis, Jimmy Cliff, The Hollies, Donna Summer, the Chantels, the Stooges, and Laura Nyro.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will host its 25th anniversary celebration in concert at Madison Square Garden on October 29th and 30th. Scheduled performers include Paul Simon, Aretha Franklin, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, U2, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and Metallica.
