BroadwayWorld has just learned that beginning tomorrow, November 1, Danny Rutigliano will assume the role of "Danny" in HOLIDAY INN on Broadway, replacing Lee Wilkof.
Rutigliano originated the role at Goodspeed and also performed it at St. Louis MUNY. Other Broadway includes the original Broadway & L.A. casts of The Lion King (Ovation Award), Billy Elliott, Born Yesterday, Elf, and The Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public. He appeared in the national tour of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and starred in the international tour of Cirque du Soleil's Banana Schpeel. At Encores! he was seen in Fiorello! (title role), Bells are Ringing, Kismet, The New Moon and One Touch of Venus. Off-Broadway includes Silk Stockings, Hollywood Pinafore, Godspell, Yiddle with a Fiddle, Daydreams, The Music and Magic of Doris Day.
