Danny Leary Variety Show To Play The Copper Room At Comix 7/29

Comedian Danny Leary (Logo Network, MTV, here! TV, Animal Planet) is back with a brand new variety show which will premiere in the plush new Copper Room at the comedy nightclub Comix.

Leary, who is known in New York City for his popular comedy show "On the Rocks" that ran for over two years at The Duplex and featured eclectic lineups, promises even more spectacle in his new endeavor. "It's going to feel like The TONY Awards, Merv Griffin, Oprah and Hee-Haw all in one show," says Danny, "New York hasn't seen a show like this in probably decades and I'm excited to be doing this in the Copper Room at Comix, it's really gorgeous. Just like me!"

Simply named, "[untitled] Danny Leary Variety Extravaganza," this new series features pop-culture music tribute medleys performed by Broadway and cabaret vocalists, original sketch comedy, big chorus dance numbers, Q&A's with celebrity guests, re-enacted scenes from vintage TV shows and "Oprah style" audience giveaways.
