Danny Chait to Play LOWER EAST SIDE MUSIC FESTIVAL, 8/23

Danny Chait has been tapped to perform at the debut incarnation of The Lower East Side Music Festival on Thursday, August 23 at 8:00pm. The performance will feature his latest single, and the title track of his debut EP, The Back Room. Chait says of the track:

"The Back Room was just an idea... to me, the song is about not knowing if someone will be on the same page as you if you tell them how you feel. But what I find really important and interesting is what it can mean to others. I never planned on this being a single but it's a nice surprise that people have really responded to it."

Ever since picking up his first guitar, Chait’s drive for success has opened many doors and led to several recent notable achievements. Among these was an exclusive "First Listen" feature of Chait’s EP on American Songwriter for the week leading up to the release of the record last month. Danny can also be seen in a video performance feature on the extremely popular Huffington Post news site, which went live at the end of July. As interest in the singer’s unique approach to acoustic rock continues to build, it is no wonder that Chait was selected to help kick off the festivities in New York City’s eclectic Lower East Side later this month.

The Festival is the first of its kind. Taking place August 9-26, NYC's premier theater and dance performance laboratory Dixon Place will present The Lower East Side Music Festival, which will run Thursday through Sunday nights for three weeks. The talented roster is comprised of more than 30 incredible acts over 12 nights. Chait’s songwriting and vocals are sure to impress not only fans who appreciate the subtlety and vulnerability of acoustic rock, but fans of any musical genre.
