The Triad plays host to "The Songs of Robert Rokicki," Monday, March 19, 2007 at 9:00pm. The evening showcasing the work of composer/lyricist Robert Rokicki, will feature performances by Nikki Renee Daniels (Les Miserables) and Tituss Burgess (Jersey Boys), among other Broadway talents.

Rokicki, Daniels, and Burgess will be joined onstage by Jill Abramovitz (Martin Short), Amanda Flynn (Wicked -LA), David Baum (A Chorus Line), Heather Parcells (A Chorus Line), Darryl Windslow (Evil Dead), Megan Reinking (Dracula), Patrick Mellen (Lestat), Anne Brummel (Evita Nat'l Tour), Melinda Bass, Robyn Clark (Ravina Festival's Gypsy), Garrett Long (Spitfire Grill), Craig McEldowney, and Ryland Shelton.

"I am incredibly happy to have assembled this great group of performers to bring my songs to life," Rokicki confides.  "This is a remarkable opportunity to expose people to these songs and test out new material from my new musical, Samson's Fire."

"Rokicki's work, described as 'eclectic mix of William Finn and Jerry Herman' (Talkin' Broadway), promises to be a very surprising evening of song.  The show will feature exciting new works in addition to better-known quirky songs, which have been featured in concerts, cabarets and in his original musical, Martha & Me, which enjoyed a sold out run at the New York Fringe Festival," state press materials.  Rockiki also recently had songs featured in The Greatest Holiday Musical Ever (Don't Tell Mama's) and Theatre International's Holiday Extravaganza (Triad).   He has also performed as an actor.

Admission is $10 plus a 2 drink minimun.  Reservations are recommended, and are available by calling The Triad 212.362.2590 or online at www.triadnyc.com/reservations.php.  Day of tickets will be available at the door.  The Traid is conveniently located 158 W 72nd St in NY.
