Emerald Sentinel Productions will present 2&2 as part of the 17th annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC. 2&2, written by Peter Cosmas Sofronas and directed by Christian Amato, makes its New York City premiere at the festival after a Massachusetts run.

2&2 is the story of Tommy Hanson, a disgruntled comic book artist with a security bear and peculiar fixation on a certain fictional man of steel. As the play opens, Tommy is reeling from the news that his childhood friend had committed suicide-something for which Tommy blames himself-and his father. To complicate matters, he meets, and is attracted to an enigmatic, "mild-mannered" stranger named David-who just happens to be dating Tommy's estranged sister, Rachel. David's entrance into Tommy's life is the catalyst to forgiveness and to the acceptance that the past could not have been any different.

Leading the cast are Daniel Dambroff as Tommy, ClaRon Hayden as David, and Amanda Audrey as Rachel. Rounding out the cast are Gary Dooley and Judy Bruno-Bennett as Tommy's parents, John and Mary.

Peter Cosmas Sofronas earned his B.F.A. in Directing at Salem State University, and makes his living as a freelance graphic designer and comic book colorist. His work-both credited and uncredited-has been featured in dozens of comic book titles including Hack and Slash, Chucky, GI Joe: America's Elite, Green Lantern, Justice Society of America, and 52. Most recently, he provided renderings for Ultra Violets: Power to the Purple, the latest in a series of novels aimed at young girls. In his constantly-dwindling free time, he is working on multiple concurrent writing projects including a series of ten-minute plays, a prospective web/television series based on 2&2, and an existential mystery for the stage entitled The Voices I Heard Crying. For more information, please visit www.emeraldsentinel.com.
