According to reports, a federal judge has dismissed the University of Alabama's trademark lawsuit against artist Daniel A. Moore and his company New Life Art after an 8 year battle.

Moore's attorney, Stephen Heninger, said that the lawsuit went "against public opinion and now against the law. He's very happy."

The judge also dismissed the university's argument that it deserved damages from the use of his prints due to "unjust enrichment.'

New Life Art is the exclusive publisher and distributor of the internationally recognized Sport Artist of the Year Award winner Daniel A. Moore.
Daniel A. Moore is nationally known for his skill in expressing and capturing great moments in sports history through his original oil paintings. Unlike the quickly created computer-generated action sports photos that pose as paintings, Moore's original paintings are fully hand-rendered in the tradition of the Great Masters, using brushes and oil paint on canvas. It is this painstaking quality in Moore's work that has significantly boosted the value of his limited edition prints on the secondary collectors' markets and is why thousands of fine art patrons eagerly await his newest commemorative creation. Moore's fine art has sold both nationally and internationally, and his print editions have become highly prized heirlooms to be passed on to future generations.
