In over 700 songs written in the course of a 50-year career, Fred Ebb's lyrics epitomize the wit and sophistication of Broadway.  From 1964 when they met, until his death in 2004, Ebb collaborated with composer John Kander to create the scores for Cabaret, Happy Time, Zorba, Chicago, Woman of the Year, The Rink, and Kiss of the Spider Woman, among others.  They also collaborated on Curtains, which was produced in 2007, after Ebb's death.

Artistic director and music director Rob Fisher had the privilege to know Fred Ebb both personally and professionally, including serving as music director and conductor of the successful 1996 revival of Chicago, which continues its run on Broadway.  Fisher was musical director of City Center's Encores! and leader of the Coffee Club Orchestra (a group developed for Garrison Keillor's "American Radio Company"); he was also artistic advisor for Carnegie Hall's two-year Gershwin Centenary Celebration.

The show will be hosted by David Garrison (Wicked, Bells Are Ringing, Titanic) and features vocalists Brent Barrett (Chicago, Annie Get Your Gun), Judy Blazer (Lovemusik, Titanic), Diana Canova (Company) and Tony Award winner Tyne Daly (Gypsy, The Seagull).

The band features Scott Cady on piano, Andrew Sterman on reeds, Bob Millikan on trumpet, Kevin Kuhn on guitar, Jeff Carney on bass, and David Ratajczak on drums. L&L shows are Saturday at 8 pm, Sunday at 3 and 8 pm, and Monday at 2 and 8pm.  Individual tickets are $60 and $50; subscriptions to the entire series are $250 and $220.
