In Dancing with the Stars' first ever "Swing Dance Marathon," the remaining 7 pairs danced it out for a spot in the top 6.

The couples first competed with the Samba and Jake and Chelsie were first up. Jake knows he's at a disadvantage to the skills of Nicole and Evan, but that didn't stop him from giving it his all. One of his awkward thrusting moves was, well...awkward, but the rest of the routine was really fun and he looked like he knew what he was doing.

Len thought that Jake's dancing was more confident and polished, but noted that he needs more rhythm. Bruno agreed, saying he needed more bounce and Carrie Ann said he needs to connect to the music more. The judges gave the duo 7s across the board.

Evan, his nice head of hair, and Anna were up next. Anna flipping Evan onto his head looked extremely painful, but luckily after strapping an ice pack to his head, he was OK to compete. Their routine was hott (with two t's).

The judges of course had to prove that I have no idea what I'm talking about by informing Evan that it was his worst dance, that the lines were all wrong, and that he lost the battle with the Samba. Oops. Evan and Anna tied Jake and Chelsie with 3 7s from the judges.

Niecy and Louis were next to tackle the Samba- having to remember that the judges want to see "Feet, feet, feet," not her "other parts." The routine started out with her eating a flower? She then proceeded to kick him in the groin? The routine was definitely interesting, but I didn't really know what to make of it by the time it was over. It ended with Louis choking on a "biscuit."

Carrie Ann thought the routine was great, complimenting Niecy on her lines. However, she thought that the comedy wasn't needed. Len disagreed and thought that the comedy didn't interfere with the routine, but that it lacked a little intensity. All you have to know about Bruno is that he said, "Stay away from my lunchbox, I don't want to start talking like a tenor." And, yet again, the judges awarded 3 7s.

Erin, the over analyzer, and Maks were up next- and Maks informed us that he'll be institutionalized after this season due to Erin. Her costume wasn't my favorite, but I did like the way she tore the sleeves off of Maks' and I especially liked the way Maks just took his shirt off by the end of the routine.

Len let Erin know that she would be getting another 7 from him, because she has more potential (it seemed to be that he wasn't a fan of the choreography). However, Bruno and Carrie Ann both loved the routine, and gave Erin and Maks 9s.

Chad and Cheryl's Samba (or "Argentine Tango") started off a little slow but eventually picked up and ended up being pretty entertaining. The judge's all loved the routine, telling Chad that he grew, was powerful and strong, and proved he can dance. All of the judges gave Chad and Cheryl their highest score to date, with straight 8s.

Nicole and Derek, the top scoring team from last week, looked to repeat themselves with the Samba. The routine started off bold and strong, and their sparkly red costumes glittered in the light. Their routine was so upbeat and fun I never wanted it to end. Nicole really moved like a pro out there. No matter what the judges say, that was by far my favorite routine so far.

Carrie Ann and Bruno both loved the routine, only finding Nicole's "O" facial expression to critique. On the other hand, Len wasn't impressed. Carrie Ann gave the duo a 9, Len gave them a 7, and Bruno gave them an enthusiastic 10!

A dark-haired Pamela and Damian were the last to dance the Argentine Tango. The routine was pretty, but it didn't make me want to get up out of my seat and go to a Samba class. Am I the only one who thinks her "sexy" and "flirty" looks are just plain annoying?

Len said that she does seduction very well, and that the performance was good overall. Bruno said Pamela had another great character yet again, while Carrie Ann said that her legs were a little loose. Carrie Ann and Len awarded them with 7s and Bruno gave them an 8.

I can't wait for the "Swing Dance Marathon!" All 7 couples dance onstage at the same time, and when they feel a tap on their shoulder, it's time for them to leave. The last couple standing will receive 10 points! Couples are expected to dance for double the amount of time that they typically dance for. Another factor is that that couples can perform lifts. Should be interesting!

Jake and Chelsie were the first to be taken out, followed by Niecy and Louis after a very odd portion of their routine. Evan and Anna were then taken out, and 4 couples remained. Chad and Cheryl were then eliminated. The couples were being flipped and lifted and spun like crazy! Next Pamela and Damian were taken out and finally, only Nicole and Derek remained, winning the "Swing Dance Marathon!"

All 6 teams showcase their fancy footwork on Mondays, at 8:00-10:00 PM. The couple with the lowest combined judges' scores and public votes for both performances will be sent home.
Viewers may cast their votes for their favorite teams via phone on Monday night during and up to 30 minutes after the "Dancing with the Stars" performance shows. AT&T customers may also text message their votes by texting the word "VOTE" and entering the number that corresponds to the team they want to support (message and data rates may apply). Viewers may also vote online at www.abc.com starting from the opening of each episode on the East Coast and until 12:00 Noon, ET the following day.

Hosted by Tom Bergeron ("America's Funniest Home Videos"), the celebrities perform choreographed dance routines which will be judged by renowned Ballroom judge Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba, who all return for their tenth season together.
