The Las Vegas Review Journal is reporting that 'Drowsy Chaperone' Tony winner Bob Martin is working with Las Vegas titan Steve Wynn in developing a treatment for a new musical based on the music of the Bee Gees. Martin is currently working as the book writer on the LA bound Charles Strouse musical MINSKY'S which opens February 6, 2009, at Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre and continues through March 1 (previews begin January 21).

Steve Wynn it is reported  has entered into an agreement with surviving Gibb brothers Barry and Robin to produce a musical that would be created in the same biographical style as that of the mega hit Broadway show, Jersey Boys. Martin would help shape the Bee Gees history of icon songs such as 'How Deep Is Your Love' and 'Night Fever' into a new musical. Their music was featured in the London and Broadway mountings of the stage version of the classic film, Saturday Night Fever.

The Drowsy Chaperone received more Tony Awards than any other musical of the 2006 season, including Best Book (Bob Martin and Don McKellar); Original Score (Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison), Costume Design (Gregg Barnes) and Scenic Design (David Gallo). The creative team for The Drowsy Chaperone also includes lighting design by Ken Billington (Chicago) and Brian Monahan, sound design by Acme Sound Partners, orchestrations by Larry Blank, dance and incidental music arrangements by Glen Kelly, and music director/vocal arrangements by Phil Reno.
