DOUBT Celebrates 200th Performance on Broadway Tomorrow Evening

DOUBT will mark its 200th performance on Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre tomorrow evening, September 21. DOUBT began performances on March 9, 2005 and opened on March 31, 2005.
DOUBT received the 2005 Tony Award for Best Play and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. In addition to the Tony Award for Best Play, DOUBT received Tony Awards for Best Direction of a Play (Doug Hughes), Best Actress in a Play (Cherry Jones), and Best Featured Actress in a Play (Adriane Lenox). DOUBT also received the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play, the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Play, the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Play, and the Drama League Award for Distinguished Production of a Play.
Written by John Patrick Shanley and directed by Doug Hughes, DOUBT stars Cherry Jones as Sister Aloysius and Brían F. O'Byrne as Father Flynn, with Heather Goldenhersh as Sister James and Adriane Lenox as Mrs. Muller.
Set against the backdrop of a Bronx Catholic school in 1964, DOUBT is the story of a strong-minded woman faced with a difficult decision. Should she voice concerns about one of her male colleagues…even if she's not entirely certain of the truth?
