Dog Sees God, a play written by Bert V. Royal, will receive its New York revival by SOMETHING FROM ABROAD THEATRE COMPANY at the Under St Marks Theatre. The show follows a high school student named CB as he begins to question the existence of an afterlife after his dog dies. Performances will begin April 24th at 8:00pm at the Under St Marks Theater on 94 St Marks Pl. Martha Lorena Preve directs the production and Juan Sebastian Angarita produces it.

After his encounter with death, CB is looking for solace in his best friends and sister. Unable to find it since they're dealing with their own problems, CB meets a new and refreshing person in whom he'll find the comfort and support needed; but at the same time, new questions and insecurities arise with his arrival. Sexual identity, bullying, self-acceptance, drug abuse, rebellion, suicide and eating disorders are some of the issues these characters have to deal with in this coming of age play.

CB's story is a self discovery exploration of human behaviour and a dilemma between morals and values. All the characters are based on "The Peanuts", giving the audience a sense of empathy and understanding of their stories. Dog Sees God uses a "comic strip" based staging giving all the performers a certain exposure throughout the show. With a mixture of both hilarious and heartbreaking moments, the story elevates the underdogs and gives a voice to the ones that need it. The production has international cast, which results in a perfect combination of storytelling.

The cast of Dog Sees God includes Juan Sebastian Angarita, Dzoara Aljure, Lindsey Cline, Esteban Godoy, Angelo Leal, Lexi Orphanos, Matilde Osorio, and Kevin Thiel. The production team includes Sound and Light Design by Ryan Barto, Costume Design by Paloma de la Vega, Production Management by Juan Sebastian Angarita, and Direction by Martha Lorena Preve. Performances are at the Under St Marks theater at 94 St Marks Pl on Monday 4/24 at 8pm and Tuesday 4/25 AT 6:30pm.
