D'Marie is a website that allows you to search and shop the exact garments worn by celebrities in movies, television shows, music videos, advertisements, red carpet events, street-style images and more. Much like Shazam, but for fashion, this site seamlessly aggregates images from media on a single platform. After recently redesigning the website in April with a new consumer interface, the company is now looking to expand onto mobile platforms and use the crowd-sourcing website IndieGogo to raise money to build the mobile application.

"Team D'Marie is incredibly enthusiastic about developing and building our first mobile application with the support of those who want it the most, our friends, via this IndieGogo campaign," says Frank Spadafora, CEO of D'Marie Group, Inc. He adds, "More and more, consumers are interested in finding the exact garments we see in media. We build psychological relationships with clothing based on who we see wearing it and that translates to increased sales conversions for the emerging designers who are taking advantage of this form of product placement."

Campaign active: May 13th - June 25th, 2013

D'Marie's mobile application enables consumers to:

- Search and shop any garment seen on any platform, including: television shows, advertisements, music videos, red carpet images, etc. Upon identification, the app will connect you directly to the retailer where you can make the purchase.

- Walk into any participating retail store, scan an item's tag and view an entire "IMBD-esque" history of where the garment or accessory has been seen (i.e. Mindy Kaling might wear a Prada leather jacket in an episode of "The Mindy Project." Then, the next week, Lady Gaga might throw it on after her concert for a press meeting-find it on D'Marie now.)

- Browse a selection of "looks for less" curated by D'Marie editors.

- Share your favorite looks with friends via Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Tumblr and Instagram.

- Receive notifications of when a garment will be available for purchase. D'Marie will stand in line for you and the moment an item is available online, you will be sent a notification.

D'Marie's mobile app enables industry professionals (i.e. designers, stylists, celebrities, bloggers and brands) to:

- Share content and updates with D'Marie followers so they can build your brand's identity and increase website traffic and online sales.

- Utilize account tools remotely on set and out of office to increase productivity.

- Publish "shoppable" content faster and more efficiently so consumers can review the latest fashion news at the press of a button.

D'Marie is asking friends and fans to donate any amount to achieve the goal of raising $25,000 http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/d-marie-mobile-app. There are several donation levels that the company is offering, including: New York Fashion Week (NYFW) tickets, invitations to the D'Marie NYFW launch party in NYC, Original Grain watches (men's or women's), Nikki Cast silver bracelet, tote bags, t-shirts and more.

About D'Marie:

CEO Frank Spadafora founded D'Marie after recognizing a need for the app while working on set in the fashion photography industry. He formed a team and set out to solve the problem by conducting research with stylists, designers, and showrooms in order to better understand the garment-tracking problem with a revolutionary solution. That industry need resulted in a groundbreaking software program that is now transforming the way we experience fashion.
