DIY Plays On At Go Comedy! This Weekend, 9/18 and 9/19

When the DIY Festival hits Ferndale this weekend, Go Comedy! Improv Theater will be on hand to sponsor the event's beer tent and host after parties at the downtown Ferndale theater. The Go Comedy! DIY after parties are free to the public with $2.50 can beer specials.

Friday, September 18: 11:30pm - 2am
Go Comedy!'s original improvised Rock Opera, Rock-o-Matic kicks of the DIY after party when the Go Comedy! cast and band perform a fully improvised rock opera based on a few audience suggestions. Rock-o-Matic will be followed by the local band The Lincolns UK.

Saturday, September 19: 11:30pm - 2am
Rock-o-Matic kicks of the DIY after party followed by the local band Lisboa.

Rock-o-Matic returns to the Go Comedy! stage on Sunday, September 20th at their regular 9:00pm with a special pay-what-you-can performance to close out the DIY Weekend.

The regularly scheduled Go Comedy! All Star Showdown will precede the DIY Afterparties at its usual weekend times of 8:00pm and 10:00pm. There will be no Dark Matter, the Go Comedy! late night improv show normally scheduled at 11:30pm, due to the DIY Aftertparties.

Go Comedy! turns laughter into school supplies
Next weekend, Go Comedy! is set to turn laughter into school supplies with it's second fundraiser event for Operation Kid Equip, Friday, September 25 at 8:00pm. Proceeds from the early performance of the Go Comedy! All Star Showdown will go to benefit Operation Kid Equip to further their mission to serve the educational needs of Oakland county children by providing free school supply kits to students from low-income families.
