DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY, Norm Lewis, Kate Shindle and More Set for Barnes & Noble Appearances

Barnes & Noble welcomes a slew of Broadway performers to presentations throughout October.

On Tuesday, October 18, 5:00pm the Upper East Side, 86th/Lex location presents the cast of DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY for a CD signing. Death Takes a Holiday is based on the dramatic play by Alberto Casella, rewritten for the American stage by Walter Ferris, and originally produced by Messrs. Shubert

The new musical, with a book by Peter Stone & Thomas Meehan, music & lyrics by Maury Yeston is directed by Doug Hughes. The cast includes Linda Balgord (Contessa Danielli), Matt Cavenaugh (Eric Fenton), Mara Davi (Alice), Joy Hermalyn (Cora), Jay Jaski (Lorenzo), Simon Jones (Dr. Dario Albione), Rebecca Luker (Duchess Lamberti), Patricia Noonan (Sophia), Kevin Earley (Prince Sirki / Death), Jill Paice (Grazia), Michael Siberry (Duke Lamberti), Alexandra Socha (Daisy Fenton), Don Stephenson (Fidele), Max von Essen (Corrado Montelli). Appearing at the event will be Earley, Cavenaugh, Davi and Luker, with special guests Maury Yeston and Thomas Meehan.

On October 27, guests will include Kate Shindle, Norm Lewis, Rob Evan and James Barbour with Frank Wildhorn and Don Black, performing songs from the musical DRACULA. DRACULA had its regional premiere at the La Jolla Playhouse, La Jolla, California, in 2001, and then premiered on Broadway in 2004. It starred Tom Hewitt as the frightening Count and Melissa Errico as the woman he loves, Mina Harker.

The show ran for only 154 performances, and later had engagements in Europe. The Broadway production was directed by Des McAnuff, and also starred Darren Ritchie, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Chris Hoch, Don Stephenson, and Kelli O'Hara
