Even more Broadway stars have agreed get off-color and offensive at The Sounds of SILENCE! And Other Inappropriate Showtunes, a concert benefitting Tesseract Theatre and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids.  The concert will be held on August 14th at Dodgers Stages (340 W. 50th St.).

Tony Award-nominee Stephanie D'Abruzzo (Avenue Q), Gary Adler (composer of Altar Boyz), Amanda Green (the upcoming High Fidelity), Lisa Howard (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) and Michael Arden (Pippin, BARE) have signed on to the spicy concert; they join Kathy Brier (Hairspray), Natalie Joy Johnson (BARE), Larry O'Keefe (composer of Bat Boy and the upcoming Legally Blonde, the Musical), Tyler Maynard (Altar Boyz), Jim Caruso (Jim Caruso's Cast Party), as well as Jen Barnhart (Avenue Q), Stephen Bienskie (Cats), Phoebe Kreutz (Avenue Q), Natalie Douglas (The Atrain Plays), Kate Pazakis (The Sexless Years), Julie Garnye (Hair Concert), AJ Irvin (Finian's Rainbow) and others.

The concert will be presented by the non-profit company Tesseract Theatre, one of the presenters of the eagerly anticipated Fringe Festival show Silence! the Musical, on the stage of the hit off-Broadway show Altar Boyz. The concert will feature "the bawdiest and most gleefully offensive songs from Broadway's favorite composers, including O'Keefe, Adler, Marc Shaiman, Phoebe Kreutz, and others," as a press article puts it. Also included in the lineup will be new songs from the upcoming production of Silence! the Musical, as well as numbers from Jerry Springer: the Opera. The concert's all-star cast will be hosted by Scott Nevins (Therapy's Scott Nevins Presents) with music direction by Brian Nash.

Proceeds from the evening will Tesseract Theatre, with a portion of the proceeds going to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. All seats are $25. Tickets are available now at Telecharge: www.telecharge.com or 212.239.6200.
