DADDY-LESS ISSUES: THE ORPHAN PODCAST Releases Brand New Episode Image

Daddy-Less Issues is a podcast that invites comedians and artists to share stories and tales of growing up as an orphan. The podcast tackles the difficult issue of discussing parental loss and whether you're an orphan or not, Daddy-Less Issues will leave you genuinely intrigued as well as entertained. Episodes cover everything from the basics of what it's like living without a mom and/or dad to addressing serious thoughts such as if a lack of parents stunts or accelerates an artist's growth. On the humor side of things, the podcast touches on very pressing questions such as what everyone first thinks when they hear someone is an orphan: how did you learn to tie your shoes? Daddy-Less Issues has featured guests such as Monroe Martin (MTV's Guy Code), Shalewa Sharpe (Jimmy Fallon) and Tatyana Fazlalizadeh (street artist known for the Stop Telling Women to Smile campaign).

Daddy-Less Issues is co-hosted by two NYC based comedians and orphans: Amber Rollo and Chanel Ali.

HOW TO LISTEN: Episode #9 will be released on Tuesday, July 3rd at 10am EST and features comedian, writer and actor Carlos Delgado. Hosts Amber and Chanel speak with Carlos about his father's death and how he's learned to self parent and self care. In addition, Amber and Chanel discuss the children that are still separated from their families at the border, the opioid epidemic, and the Gay Pride Parade. Chanel also shares her roast of Gloria Allred at the Friars Club in NYC. This month's selected famous orphan from history is gay rights activist and transgender rights activist Sylvia Rivera.

Comedian, host, and producer Amber Rollo is a comedy veteran who has been called "a powerhouse comedian and producer" by This Week In Comedy. She hosts shows and has performed all over New York City at venues including NYC's Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, Carolines on Broadway, The Stand, New York Comedy Club as well as in festivals such as The Hoboken Comedy Festival and The She-Devil Comedy Festival. Amber co-hosts Daddy-Less Issues: The Orphan Podcast, where she chats with comedians and artists about how they succeed in life despite losing one or more parents. Additionally, she is the Head of Digital Production for The Box, the intersectional feminist comedy show. Amber brings a feminist tilt to her comedy as well as humor in dark places such as growing up an orphan and the infantilization of female sexuality.
