Curtains Receives Seven LA Ovation Nominations

CURTAINS, a new musical comedy which had its world premiere this summer at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles, was nominated for seven LA Stage Alliance Ovation Awards today, including the category of World Premiere Musical. The musical, featuring music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, book by Rupert Holmes, based on an original book and concept by Peter Stone, and additional lyrics by Kander and Holmes, was directed by Scott Ellis and choreographed by Rob Ashford.

Costume Design, Large Theatre: William Ivey Long
Lead Actor in a Musical: David Hyde Pierce as Lt. Frank Cioffi
Featured Actor in a Musical: Edward Hibbert as Chris Belling
Featured Actress in a Musical: Karen Ziemba as Georgia Hendricks;
Featured Actress in a Musical: Megan Sikora as Bambi
