Curiosity, the short thriller in which All Shook Up's Cheyenne Jackson makes his big screen debut, will bow at the 11th Annual Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films & Short Film Market, in Palm Springs, California. The film will screen on Saturday, September 24th at 8:30 PM as part of a program called Things That Go Bump.

Directed by award-winning short filmmaker Scott Peehl, Curiosity is lensed by Ian McGlocklin Sinclair, and produced by Dan Gates and Sydny Brown. Joe Griffin (Four Eyed Monsters) and Allan Fried are also featured in the cast. Peehl says of Curiosity: it "was inspired after I actually found a DVD stuck to a streetlight in the East Village last spring. What developed is a voyeuristic and suspenseful 7 minute film that explores the downside of a young man's inquisitive nature."

Jackson was offered the role after Peehl attended a performance of All Shook Up, the New York Daily News reported. "He told me that my face is kind of rubbery, like a clown. There's not much dialogue, so that was perfect," said Jackson, who hopes to make the transition into film.

Jackson's previous Broadway credits include Thoroughly Modern Millie and Aida (as a standby for Radames). He was among the premiere cast of Altar Boyz, is a member of the Broadway Inspirational Voices, and has appeared regionally in West Side Story, The Most Happy Fella, Children of Eden, Hair, Carousel, Damn Yankees and Kismet.
