Cult horror holiday-themed splatter spoof THANKSKILLING is set for a stage adaptation to premiere in Seattle sometime soon, according to a new social media announcement.
The official THANKSKILLING Facebook page provided the update, offering a preliminary logo and a message about the upcoming premiere production: "We've been holding back an exciting announcement for awhile now, but the wait is over - ThanksKilling will be turned into a musical! Premiering in Seattle this fall, we couldn't be happier with the script and the team involved. The musical numbers are f#cking hilarious! Are you ready to see Billy, Darren, Johnny, Ali, Sheriff Roud, and Turkie on stage?!"
Further details have yet to be released, but this exciting first announcement certainly confirms that the enduring film franchise will now have yet another gruesome and gory chapter, with songs, if nothing else!
THANKSKILLING is a college-oriented horror comedy set at the traditional American holiday and was originally released in 2009, followed by two sequels, THANKSKILLING 2 and THANKSKILLING 3, the latter released this month on DVD and on demand.
