While guesting on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night, Tom Cruise revealed something that would make the current New York theater industry VERY happy. Leno and Cruise discussed the fact that Mrs. Cruise, Katie Holmes was presently working in New York City starring in All My Sons.

Leno inquired if Cruise would ever consider taking a role on a Broadway stage, Cruise gave the talk show host a very positive answer, "Yes, I do movies and everything, but I wouldn't say no to Broadway. I'd like to do a musical".

To further his point, he sang a few bars of the Elvis Presley hit 'Blue Suede Shoes', producers and casting directors of Broadway, start your engines!

All My Sons starring John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest, Patrick Wilson, and Katie Holmes, directed by Simon McBurney, opened on Broadway Thursday October 16th 2008 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street).
