The Jewish Museum will launch its new season of The Wind Up, a series of after-hours events with art, music, performance, drinks, socializing and more on Thursday, November 15 from 8 to 11 pm with CROSSING BORDERS: AN INTERNATIONAL BEER FESTIVAL. This international beer tasting is being co-organized by Shmaltz Brewing Company and the New York City Brewers Guild, featuring domestic brews such as He'brew Hop Manna, He'brew Genesis, and Messiah as well as a selection of beers from England, Germany, Belgium, and Italy. In addition, the virtuoso brass band Slavic Soul Party! will perform its unique brand of Balkan and Gypsy sounds melded with American jazz and soul. Complimentary snacks will be served, and there will be an open bar.
CROSSING BORDERS: AN INTERNATIONAL BEER FESTIVAL is presented in celebration of The Jewish Museum's exhibition, Crossing Borders: Manuscripts from the Bodleian Libraries. Event attendees will be able to take guided tours of the exhibition.
