Cristin Milioti might soon be headed back to television.
According to Deadline, the Tony nominee has been tapped to lead a new, untitled comedy pilot for FX, co-starring Nina Pedrad. The pair will executive produce alongside IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA's Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton.
The pilot follows "Maxine (Milioti), her best friends Natalie (Pedrad) and Amy, and stepbrother Landis as they navigate the abject s-storm that is adulthood."
Milioti's character is described as "an entitled actress-turned-process-server who takes lemons and makes a fire out of lemons, burning herself and others. Max's dysfunctional, tight-knit clan serves as her surrogate family and always lets her sing the Aaron Burr parts of Hamilton." Pedrad will play the "sharp witted and scientifically inclined" Natalie, who "wants to be the Sheryl Sandberg of weed."
Milioti last appeared on the big screen in THE OCCUPANTS, THE WOLF OF WALL STREET and SLEEPWALK WITH ME. Among her TV credits are FX's FARGO, A TO Z, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, 30 ROCK, THE GOOD WIFE and THE SOPRANOS. She also starred on Broadway in ONCE, for which she was nominated for a Tony Award, as well as CORAM BOY and THE LIEUTENANT OF INISHMORE.
