Just in time for a Christmas road trip, Wonkybot has released Spooky Troop: A Very Scary Christmas, a kids and family-friendly audio adventure immediately available today at Wonkybot.com, iTunes, Google Play, Amazon and other retailers.
It's the second installment of the exciting Spooky Troop franchise, following October's release of Spooky Troop: The Last Halloween. A promo video has also dropped - check it out below!
Created, written and directed by Stewart St John (Sabrina: The Animated Series, Disney Channel's Seventeen Again), the full-cast audio adventure album also features an original score and brand new songs by Stewart St John & Michael Plahuta, the musical composing team behind the recent musical concert performance of Tara Tremendous - The Musical.
St John and Plahuta are also workshopping a musical based on the Spooky Troop property. The first one opened in Alabama in November and starred Allie Jordan Butcher in the lead role of Valerie the Vampire.
Revolving around seven supernatural friends who are seen as outcasts amongst the monsters, creatures and other nefarious beasts living in the Divided Netherworld, Spooky Troop is a "movie for the ears", a complete audio adventure story with over 60 minutes of original story, music, songs, sound effects and an international cast of kids starring as the Spooky Troop.
In this all-new adventure, the Spooky Troop stumble upon an old book called "The Christmas Spirit" and soon learn that, Once Upon a time, the Divided Netherworld actually celebrated Christmas - which has been wiped out and replaced with a "season of greed". Their discovery pits them against the Demon King who attempts to squash their newfound discovery, which leads to one of their most exciting adventures ever.
Starring the voice talent of an international cast of kids including Jacob King as Stewart the Sorcerer, Maia McLachlan as Valerie the Vampire, William Abernathy as Willie the Werewolf, Ramsey Whitney as Zianna the Zombie, Rebecca King as Delilah the Demon, Max Kazanjian as Michael the Monster. Also featuring the voice talents of Mal Plahuta, Chris Abernathy, Mia Moravis, Trevor Sewell, Chris McCartie, Steve King as Mayor Tullubub and Stewart St John as the Demon King.
