Convergences Theatre Collective is proud to present its Winter Performance Suite January 15-19 in New York City. These performances are a part of APAP|NYC, an annual conference organized by the Association of Performing Arts Presenters. The suite features Babel, The Woman Who Was Me, and A Mexican Affair.

Babel is an acro-dance-theatre performance based on the story of the Tower of Babel. The piece explores the human desire to create, the necessity of communication, and how human ambition can overcome adversity. Babel is co-created by WT McRae & Jeremy Williams in collaboration with the company, and will be performed at 7:00pm on January 15th and 16th, at Gibney Dance Center, 280 Broadway (at 19th St.).

The Woman Who Was Me is a one-woman play written by Peter Grandbois and starring Liz Stanton. In it, a middle-aged woman explores life outside of conventional marriage, motherhood, and sexual appetite, all while trying to recapture and rediscover her creative voice as a writer. The Woman Who Was Me will be performed at 3:00pm on January 16th and at 7:30pm on January 17th-19th, at TheaterLab (357 W 36th ST, between 8th & 9th).

A Mexican Affair is a new cabaret, written and performed by Rafa Reyes. It celebrates the beauty of the relationship between Mexico and the United States, featuring songs written in the 20th century by Mexican composers and by American composers inspired by Mexican themes and culture. A Mexican Affair will be performed at 9:30pm on January 15th and 16th, at TheaterLab.

These pieces will be performed January 15-19 in NYC, with tickets available online on December 16th. For more details about these pieces or to find out more information about Convergences Theatre Collective, visit jeremy-williams.org/ctc.
