Presented By Anne Bancroft
A New Play Written and Performed by Ann Randolph

STRICTLY LIMITED THIRTEEN-WEEK ENGAGEMENT
ENDS SUNDAY, OCTOBER 17

Anne Bancroft is proud to present the New York premiere of SQUEEZE BOX, a new one-woman play written and performed by Ann Randolph. Directed by Alan Bailey, SQUEEZE BOX at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd St.).

Performance Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursday through Saturdays at 8Sunday evenings at , with matinee performances on Saturdays at and Sundays at

With pathos and humor, SQUEEZE BOX skillfully weaves together Randolph's personal experiences of working in a women's homeless shelter and of her love affair with the accordionist of her dreams. Using her elastic face, acrobatic voice and attuned body language, Randolph paints the painfully funny portraits of the shelter's residents.

With just a chair, a banjo and a guitar, Randolph brings to life her compelling and comical journey of discovery and self-acceptance with remarkable freshness and vibrancy. SQUEEZE BOX illuminates the dignity and grace in unusual people and places, reflecting upon the relationship between where we are and where we expect to be.

"When I first saw this production, I was deeply moved," said Ms. Bancroft. "Ann Randolph's amazing work, both as a writer and fellow performer, touched my heart and my mind so profoundly that I felt it belonged on the New York stage."

Prior to Off-Broadway, the production played a limited engagement at the Court Theater in Los Angeles in 2002. Hailed by The Los Angeles Times as "wickedly hysterical," SQUEEZE BOX received the 2002 L.A. Weekly Theatre Award and the 2002 L.A. Ovation Award for Best Solo Performance.

Tickets are $41.25 (includes a restoration fee) and are now available by calling Telecharge.com at (212) 239-6200, or in-person at the Theatre Row Box Office (410 West 42nd St.).
