The Children's Cancer and Blood Foundation (CCBF) will host its sixth annual Contemporary Art Auction on Wednesday, May 15th at Bonhams New York from 6 to 9 pm. The exclusive evening will feature after-hours access to Bonhams, a cocktail reception and the opportunity to browse and bid on CCBF's beautiful collection of paintings, photographs and sculptures. Proceeds support the clinical care of children with cancer and blood disorders, cutting edge research to understand the causes of these disorders and a fellowship training program in pediatric hematology and oncology.

Foundation chairperson Les J. Lieberman spoke appreciatively of the artists, "We are overwhelmed by the incredible support our organization has received from the art community. With contributions from internationally renowned artists and studios, the highly anticipated 2013 art auction is shaping up to be our best auction yet. The money raised from this art auction will help CCBF ensure that all of our patients receive care regardless of their ability to pay."

The upcoming auction promises once again to be a unique opportunity to purchase exciting works by leading contemporary artists. As with all CCBF auctions, acquisitions will be free of sales tax and buyer's premium, allowing proceeds to go directly to CCBF. Buyers need not be present to bid and can place pre- and absentee-bids by visiting http://www.childrenscbf.org, calling 212-297-4336 or emailing artauction(at)childrenscbf(dot)org.

Highlights of the CCBF's 2013 Contemporary Art Auction include Andy Warhol photographs, Diana Ross, 1981 and Sylvester Stallone, 1980, each estimated between $15,000-20,000; and a classic one color etching by Richard Serra, Untitled, 2008 estimated between $20,000-30,000.
