Conrad John Schuck & Florence Henderson Hop on Sherman Brothers' MERRYGOROUND,' 2011

Conrad John Schuck is slated to join Florence Henderson (of 'The Brady Bunch,' and most recently, 'Dancing with the Stars,' fame) on the new Sherman Brothers' musical 'MerryGoRound.'  

According to the official website, 'MerryGoRound,' "takes place in the moment between life and death. It's the story of a young man who, believing his existence is meaningless, attempts to end his life. He is saved by his estranged father who persuades him to travel back in his memories via a magic lantern to discover the truth behind various events in his past, to convince him to change his mind and "stay on board" the merry-go-round of life."

Schuck's screen credits include the film 'M*A*S*H' (in which he was notably the first actor to utter the f-word in a major motion picture) as well as the famed miniseries, 'Roots.'  He has appeared in 'Star Trek IV' and 'Star Trek VI,' and in 2006, played Daddy Warbucks in the Broadway revival of 'Annie.'

Henderson is no stranger to Broadway herself.  She made her Broadway debut at the age of eighteen in 'Wish You Were Here,' followed by starring roles in 'Fanny,' 'The Sound of Music,' 'The Girl Who Came to Supper' and 'The King and I.'  

The Sherman Brothers are most known for their collaborations with Disney, scoring films such as 'Mary Poppins,' 'The Jungle Book,' 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' and 'The Aristocats.' 

"Bob and I, we learned from the master - Walt Disney," Richard says. "He once told us, early on in our career, 'Don't insult the kid - don't write down to the kid. And don't write just for the adult.' So we write for grandpa and the 4-year-old and everyone in between - and all see it on a different level."
