According to the Really Useful Group's website, Connie Fisher will be out of the London revival of The Sound of Music for the next two weeks due to a vocal injury.

"Through a desire not to let the public down Connie Fisher sang through a heavy cold which has caused a vocal injury. The vocal chords are a muscle like any other and, as in the sporting world, when injured they require complete rest to recover. On her doctor's advice Connie has to take two weeks off from the show starting on Monday 5 March in order to allow the injury time to repair," states the website.  Sophie Bould will perform the role of Maria until Fisher returns.

Fisher recently extended her run in the show through February of 2008.  She was chosen to play Maria through the hit BBC reality talent search "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria."  She received glowing reviews for her West End debut in the show.

The Sound of Music began previews at the London Palladium on November 3rd and opened on November 15th. Jeremy Sams (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) directs and Andrew Lloyd Webber produces. The revival also stars Alexander Hanson as Captain Von Trapp, and opera star Lesley Garrett as the Mother Abbess.

The Sound of Music, which concerns a spirited young governess who becomes the matriarch of the von Trapp family, features music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics and book by Oscar Hammerstein II.
