Connecticut Comedy Cage Match Set for Playhouse on Park

It's an ultimate showdown between two explosively funny improv teams this Friday night at Playhouse on Park! The match between finalists SHED and Tick, Tick, Boom! begins at 8:00 pm this Friday night, May 15. Audience members not only benefit from hours of entertainment but also have the privilege of naming the evening's victor.

SHED is comprised of members from Hartford's own award-winning comedy company Sea Tea Improv. Since 2009, Sea Tea Improv has dazzled the nutmeg state with interactive shows, customized comedy and on-the-spot interpretations of audience suggestions. Tick, Tick, Boom! exploded on the Hartford scene in February 2012 by defeating Voltron in a freestyle rap battle. Members include bibliophobes, Satan worshippers, fire eaters, and a duck. One member is studying to be the next Hello Kitty and all members are currently pregnant. SHED is defending their title after winning the last two wild rounds; you won't want to miss as these improv masters duke it out to crack you up in this final match!

Connecticut Cage Match at Playhouse on Park is BYOB. Tickets are at $10 each for general admission. Doors open at 7:30 pm.
