Coney Island USA will present its Annual Spring Gala on Saturday evening, March 19, 2016 to support programs and events presented by the not-for-profit arts organization.
This year's benefit will honor Fred Kahl, "The Great Fredini." Kahl has been a stalwart of the Coney Island arts scene for over 30 years and is known for his talent as an artist, magician, sword-swallower, and has performed in the Coney Island Circus Sideshow. He has founded and is executive producer of New York City's longest running burlesque series, "Burlesque at the Beach," and creator of the off-off-off Broadway public access TV cult show, America's Favorite Burlesque Gameshow - This or That! Fred's recent projects include the Scan-A-Rama 3D Portrait Studio and the world's largest desktop 3D printed art installation; Thompson & Dundy's Luna Park: 3D Printed, currently on view in the Coney Island Museum. Tickets for the Annual Spring Gala are $125 for General Admission and $175 for VIP Admission. The evening will feature performances by superstars of the burlesque and sideshow movements, go-go dancers, and live music. Food and open bar are included in the price of admission. Doors open at 7 p.m. for VIP guests. General Admission is from 8 p.m. to midnight.Coney Island USA is a 501 ©3 not-for-profit arts organization located in Coney Island's historic amusement park.
