Complete Casting Announced for Broadway's Julius Caesar

Complete casting was announced today for the all-new Broadway production of William Shakespeare's JULIUS CAESAR, starring two-time Academy® Award-winner Denzel Washington as Brutus. The cast also stars Colm Feore as Brutus' co-conspirator, Cassius; Jessica Hecht as Brutus' wife, Portia; William Sadler as Julius Caesar; Tamara Tunie as Caesar's wife, Calphurnia; Eamonn Walker as Marc Antony and Jack Willis as Casca.

The cast also includes Stephen Lee Anderson, Jacqueline Antaramian, Kelly AuCoin, Ed Onipede Blunt, David Cromwell, Keith Davis, Peter Jay Fernandez, Seth Fisher, Steven M. Jones, Ty Jones, Aaron Krohn, Quentin Maré, Christopher McHale, Mark Mineart, Dan Moran, Jason Manuel Olazábal, Howard W. Overshown, Patrick Page, Kurt Rhoads, John Douglas Thompson, Richard Topol and Henry Woronicz.

JULIUS CAESAR begins performances at Broadway's Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street, NYC) on Tuesday, March 8. Opening night is set for Sunday, April 3.

JULIUS CAESAR is helmed by Daniel Sullivan, Tony® Award-winning director of Proof, and this season's Broadway productions of Brooklyn Boy and Sight Unseen. JULIUS CAESAR is produced by Carole Shorenstein Hays and Freddy DeMann.

JULIUS CAESAR is one of Shakespeare's most eloquent plays set against a political backdrop of tragic conflict as one heroic and noble man (Brutus) is tormented over the choice between loyalty to his country, and loyalty to his friend.

The design team for JULIUS CAESAR is Ralph Funicello (Set Design), Jess Goldstein (Costume Design), Mimi Jordan Sherin (Lighting Design), Dan Moses Schreier (Original Music and Sound Design), Gregory Meeh (Special Effects), Robin F. McFarquhar (Fight Direction) and Charles LaPointe (Wig and Hair Design).

JULIUS CAESAR performs at the Belasco Theatre, 111 West 44th Street, NYC:

Tuesday – Saturday evenings at 8:00PM, Wednesday and Saturday matinees at 2:00PM, and Sunday matinees at 3:00PM.
