The final Comedy Night for the Playhouse's sixth season ends with a raucous bang this Saturday, May 16 at 8:00 pm. The evening of hilarity features Christine Hurley as the headliner, with Tom Stewart as the middle act and Barbara Jurgelas, emcee.
Up against thousands of other entries, Christine Hurley was selected to be a finalist on Nick and Nite's nationally televised show "America's Funniest Mom." The producers of the show included Carol Leifer (Seinfeld show producer", Jeff Singer (talent scout, Montreal Comedy Festival), Jeffrey Ross (Comedy Central roast master) and actress Sandra Bernhardt. Tom Stewart is a radio and television veteran who has taken his comedic voice to the stage, quickly becoming a crowd favorite in the Northeast. He was a finalist in the New England's Got Talent Competition in 2013. Barbara Jurgelas has been in the stand up business since 1985. She has worked with Ray Romano, Gallagher, and Jimmy "JJ" Walker. She has also been responsible for booking the fabulous comedy acts at the Playhouse for the last five years.
As is standard with all of the Playhouse's Comedy Nights, this event is BYOB. Buy your tickets today, as they're selling fast! All seats reserved, $15 each. Doors open at 7:30 pm.
