Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco will mix two of his favorite things, laughs and food, in a new memoir about his colorful life, "Where You Wanna Eat?"

The memoir by Maniscalco and co-author Alan Eisenstock will explore Maniscalco's dining experiences and dos and don'ts from a lifetime as a diner, waiter and keen observer of human nature through a series of his most memorable meals.

The Los Angeles-based Maniscalco is one of comedy's hottest commodities at the moment, flooring audiences with his cutting slice of life observations told from a uniquely urban blue-collar, Italian-American point of view. NBC recently bought a comedy script by writer Austen Earl ("The Millers," "Up All Night") based on Maniscalco's life. Earl and Maniscalco, who are friends, executive produce along with Greg Garcia ("My Name Is Earl"), Judi Brown-Marmel and Alix Jaffe.

Maniscalco's Showtime special "Aren't You Embarrassed" is airing now, and its premiere was one of the highest rated comedy specials of the year for the network. Additionally Maniscalco recently made an appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" and is slated for a six night stint at New York City's Gotham Comedy Club Dec. 9-14 where he has already sold-out eight out of nine consecutive shows.

Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, will publish the book and Jeremie Ruby Strauss will serve as editor. Marmel of LEG Talent Management and agent Anthony Mattero of Foundry Literary + Media negotiated the deal which includes North America and open market rights. The book is scheduled for publication in June 2016.

This is Maniscalco's first book. Eisenstock is the author of a dozen books and in addition to his own work has collaborated on best sellers with several comedians, including George Lopez, Bill Engvall, David Alan Grier, and Robert Schimmel.
