It's that time of year again, and Santa has a few precious moments to spend with you and your family before rushing off to cruise around the world on Christmas Eve. Come meet Santa Saturday mornings (9:30am-11am) at the Broadway Comedy Club (318 West 53rd Street, New York, NY 10019 - near Times Square and Columbus Circle) from Thanksgiving to Christmas Day. After serving up a continental breakfast and helping take some photos, Santa's Helpers perform the interactive musical comedy show Elfprov. To wrap up the morning, Santa and Elves lead the crowd in the Christmas Carol sing-a-long. Tickets to the event run $25-50 (via Ovationtix 866-811-4111 - $50 VIP tickets include the best seats and priority access to Santa upon arrival). For more information go to https://santanyc.com/breakfast-with-santa-nyc/.
When the doors open at 9:30am (lobby/holding room opens at 9am to get out of the cold), the Elves are serving up a continental breakfast of coffee, juice, assorted mini bagels, danish, donuts, cheeses, yogurt and fruit. Santa enters with a clatter. Each family is invited to meet Santa on stage. Bring your wishlists and cameras. Video recording is also acceptable. The Elves will take photos and post online for free download if you forget yours.
Then Santa invites the elves onstage to entertain the entire family with Elfprov. Imagine Whose Line Is It Anyway meets the North Pole. The elves take your suggestions for ideas to create original songs and scenes right before your very eyes. And for the future stars in your family, the elves invite many children - and a few adults - on stage to help influence the comedy more directly. No two shows are ever the same, like candy canes and waffles.
To wrap up the seasonal fun, Santa comes back to lead the elves and families in a few Christmas Carols.
Please be on time. Santa will not start the show until everyone has had a chance to share their Christmas lists and pose for a selfie. However, if you arrive after 10am and the show has already started, Santa may be gone and unable to say hello to you personally. Santa hates to disappoint children because the parents are being bad. Nobody wants coal, right?
The Broadway Comedy Club is home to professional stand-up comedy nightly on the main stage as well as Cabaret and Improv Comedy in the Red Room. Don't miss Improv 4 Kids, every Saturday and Sunday at 3pm. Fun for the whole family!
