Due to great reviews and a sold out run, Colin Quinn The New York Story the new comedy written by and starring Colin Quinn, based on his book The Coloring Book (Grand Central Publishing) and directed by Jerry Seinfeld will return The Cherry Lane Theatre, (38 Commerce Street) beginning October 20th. In Colin Quinn The New York Story, Colin waxes nostalgic about the rise and fall of his hometown, the city formally known as NY from its modest beginnings as Dutch outpost to the hipsters of modern Williamsburg. Quinn is once again at his satirical best, taking aim at the prejudices, paranoias and peculiarities that make New York City the crossroads of the world.

The New York Times raves, "Critics Pick! Full of nostalgia from gritty old New York," and the New York Post cheers, "New York Witty. Colin Quinn's solo 'New York Story' is his best work yet." The Hollywood Reporter applauds, "This is one New York Story you will want to hear" and USA Todaysays "A story told with earthly charm." The Huffington Post sums it up when they declared "Run, don't walk to see The New York Story!"

Directed by Jerry Seinfeld, who directed Colin in his Broadway showColin Quinn Long StoryShort,Colin Quinn The New York Story has set design by Sara C. Walsh, costume design by Kristen Buckels, and lighting design by Sarah Lurie.

"Like Wayne Newton in Vegas in the 70's and Josephine Baker in Paris in the 30's, this is where people need to see me right now," said Colin Quinn.
