Golden Globe-winning screen star Colin Farrell is joining recent Broadway headliner and Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain in Liv Ullmann's new screen adaptation of August Strindberg's MISS JULIE, Chastain confirms on Facebook.
Chastain writes, "For Miss Julie, I'm doing an English accent while Colin and Samantha are doing Northern Irish. Castle Coole is where we're shooting. It feels so easy to fall into the story when in an environment that supports it. No green screens or studio lots on this one. Liv is constantly pulsating with emotion, I'm hoping that her beautiful openness and vulnerability finds it's way into my performance."

Filming is set to continue in Ireland this month, with Ullmann directing from her own script. Samantha Morton also stars in the project.
MISS JULIE explores class and gender roles and largely centers around an artistocrat's daughter and her romance with a dashing young valet. Strindberg's 1888 play was highly controversial in its day for its frank discussions and depictions of sexuality.
