The 2nd sensational season began on June 19th with the opening of Cabaret, which will run for three weeks. Next, will be the most beloved and cherished musical as well as the leading audience pick from last season, Fiddler on the Roof, opening on July 17th and playing through August 3rd. All performances for both shows will be Thursday through Sunday with two shows on Saturdays. For a complete schedule and ticket information, visit their website at

ColeBeanBay is a professional summer theatre that employs actors and technicians from all over the United States and brings them to Sainte Genevieve to produce high quality, Broadway caliber productions. The company also seeks out local talent to help round out the casts, giving local performers a chance to be a part of this amazing experience. "We found last year," says Landon Shaw, co-founder and managing artistic director of ColeBeanBay "that there was incredible local talent that worked just as hard, if not harder as the working professionals and when all was said and done, everyone truly blended together to make a stunning ensemble".
ColeBeanBay is constantly growing and with that, comes the need for more help and support from a lot of different places. "We love that we ended up in Southeast Missouri and specifically Sainte Genevieve. It was great to hear that everyone loved the show last season and that most experienced an increase in business. That is exactly what our mission is. That is what will keep us going and growing each year."
ColeBeanBay participated in the Missouri Travel show in Saint Charles, MO in March of this past year in an effort to attract more tourists and tour groups to the region. "Southeast Missouri has so much to offer and now we can thankfully add professional theatre to that list. Professional summer theatre cannot be found in every community. We are proud to be here and now we need to tell everyone how to find us."
Education is also VERY important to ColeBeanBay, so they will also offer a one week drama camp for students of all experience levels ages 6-13. The dates are July 21st-25th at the Orris Theatre in Sainte Genevieve. There will also be a two-day teen camp on Thursday, July 24th and Friday, July 25th for students ages 14-18, again for all experience levels. To register for either camp, email Nicole Trueman at Nicole@dramaramatheatre.com.
If you would like to volunteer to help ColeBeanBay in any way, they would be more than happy to hear from you. Right now, they are actively looking for volunteers that can help them fundraise and promote this season and begin working on next years season. Now that the season has begun, they could use help with ushering and other positions. To find out more about anything that was mentioned in this article, visit
