Clue Chase, NYC's premier escape room venue, located in the Grace Building across from Bryant Park, has announced a new Escape Game that can be brought to outside venues. This game solves the most common issues that arise during team building events: lack of employee motivation, poorly communicated goals, and lack of feedback following the activity. Clue Chase's new "escape game to go" has sidestepped all of these problems by using "cooperative competition". Cooperative competition is a well-known concept in economics and game theory that Clue Chase is using to replicate the inter-departmental sharing of work and ideas, along with the drive to outperform other departments within your company.
Utilizing many years of game design experience and team building research, Clue Chase has crafted an "escape game to go" that can provide groups from 20-500+ people with an hour of engaged cooperative gameplay in an immersive theatrical production. The setup is simple. Clue Chase travels to an event venue of your choosing where your group is split into teams across multiple tables. Each of these teams is given a central item and puzzles that are the focal point of their challenge. These items vary in type, from specially rigged devices to briefcases with hidden compartments. The accompanying puzzles are diverse, appealing to differing styles of problem solving, whether that be spatial intelligence, linguistics/wordplay, logic/math, or interpersonal/intuitive.
Since each table has its own team with clearly stated objectives, every participant is engaged and motivated, and supervised by professionally trained actors who double as gamemasters. They create and maintain a fully immersive experience and provide measured assistance whenever necessary. After the game is over, the various teams have the chance to get personal and immediate feedback from the gamemasters regarding their overall performance and anything particularly unique that the gamemasters witnessed during the game.
