According to The New York Times, theatre and music legend Eartha Kitt will slink to the Cafe Carlyle later than was originally announced.

In the meantime, urbane cabaret star Mary Cleere Haran will step in for Kitt by playing the latter's previously-announced dates of April 4th through 29th. Kitt, who was last seen on Broadway in The Wild Party, postponed her engagement due to a scheduling conflict. New performance dates for Kitt have not yet been announced.

Maria Friedman, the West End star who recently made her Broadway debut in The Woman in White, has also signed on to play at the posh venue located in The Carlyle Hotel (at Madison Avenue and 76th St.). Friedman will perform from May 3rd through June 2nd. Her album "Now and Then" will be released by Sony on May 2nd.
