Stand Alone: Songs About and Written By Losers, an evening of new songs by Sam Salmond, will be presented on Monday, November 12 at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Show time is 9:30pm.

The evening features the talents of Claybourne Elder (Bonnie and Clyde), Gideon Glick (Into the Woods, Spring Awakening), Jose Llana(The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Corey Mach (Godspell), Eric William Morris (Mamma Mia!), Anne L. Nathan (Once) and Etai BenShlomo (Wicked).

The evening will also feature music direction by Matthew Webb, arrangements by Salomon Lerner and direction by Sam Pinkleton. Natasha Sinha is producer. Additional music provided by BranDon Anderson, Josh Freilich and Dimitri Landrain.

Sam Salmond wrote book and lyrics for Mormons, Mothers and Monsters (a Boston Globe Critic’s Pick) with music by Will Aronson. The show received its world premiere production at Barrington Stage Company in 2011. He also penned the book and lyrics to Missing Parents, with music by Yoonmi Lee, which had a limited run at NYU in August 2012. He has participated in writer's residencies at Goodspeed, CAP21 and the Berkshire Playwright's Lab. Sam’s music and lyrics have been featured at William Finn’s Songs by Ridiculously Talented Composers and Lyricists You Probably Don’t Know but Should, Lincoln Center, Symphony Space, The Laurie Beechman Theatre, and other NYC venues. He is an alumnus of NYU’s Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program.

Tickets are priced at $10, and there is a $15 food/drink minimum. Reservations are encouraged by calling 212-695-6909. Tickets will be available at the door, subject to availability.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located downstairs at the West Bank Café (407 West 42nd Street, between 9th & 10th Aves).
