CLASSICAL ACTING INTENSIVE SERIES

Red Bull Theater offers a year-long series of inter-related classical acting workshops
led by master teachers and working professionals.

Intensive #1 - October 22, 2011
Acting the Classical Audition
A one-day intensive focused on voice and text, monologue preparation,
including coaching from a professional casting director.

Intensive #2 - January 28-29, 2012
Living the Language
A two-day intensive designed to focus on examining beat work in classical text.
Voice and movement classes and stage combat will be taught alongside text analysis.
Instructors will include: Tracy Bersley, Patrick Page, Rick Sordelet, and more.

Intensive #3 - May 11-13, 2012
Creating the Character
A three-day intensive where the work will focus on character development,
including courses in mask, clown, and ongoing voice and text analysis.
Instructors will include: Kay Matschullat, Andrew Wade, and more.

Intensive #4 - July 16-19, 2012
Setting the Scene
A four-day summer session that will focus on scene study, providing students ample time to
delve into characters, beats, text, and additional voice and movement work.
Instructors will include Valerie Clayman Pye, and more.

Season-Long Intensives
Take all four sessions and get 10 days of classical acting intensives over the course of the year
