Clarksville Little Theatre Holds Auditions for POCAHONTAS, 6/5

On June 5, 2010 at 10AM, Clarksville Little Theatre at 301 East Montgomery Ave., Clarksville, IN will hold auditions for their upcoming children's show: THE LEGEND OF POCAHONTAS, written by Vera Morris and directed by Debra Rice Endris.

Clarksville is looking for boys and girls aged 6 - 12 years to present a memorized monologue. No singing will be required. Children may be guided through improvisational exercises, while older children may be asked to do cold readings from the script.

Due to limited time, no conflicts will be worked around. Cast members must attend all rehearsals, no exceptions. These rehearsals will be June 21 - July 2, Monday through Friday from 9:30AM - noon. Tech rehearsal will be July 2 at 5PM and July 5 - 8 from 6 - 9:30PM. The production will run July 9 and 10 at 7:30PM and July 11 at 2PM.

Teens aged 13 - 18 years are additionally needed for crew in the following areas: stage managing, lighting, props, costumes, set construction, and assistant to the director. Sign up forms will be available at auditions, or interested teens may contact the director.
