Cirque du Soleil to Send Recruiters to NYC 11/17-19

Cirque du Soleil is seeking new backstage, production and operations talent for its current productions and upcoming creations, and will send some recruiters to New York City in from November 17-19, 2008.
 
At Cirque du Soleil, amazement is part of the job. In order to astonish thousands of people around the world each evening, a tremendous amount of behind-the-scenes talent is required. Nearly 3,000 employees back up Cirque du Soleil's amazing performing artists.
 
Cirque's order book is filled with rich, stimulating projects in the years ahead. From Las Vegas to Macau, via Montreal and Dubai, the organization will explore extraordinary markets, ones that will offer both unique and great challenges. Cirque du Soleil is looking for energetic and passionate individuals who will take pride in being part of an international organization recognized for its creativity and innovation.
 
Since 1984, Cirque du Soleil has carved out a special niche for itself in the world of entertainment. Through a mix of street performance, circus arts, dance, theatre, music and song, Cirque du Soleil, with the helping hand of its operations and productions teams, has given life to a unique new universe. Holding job fairs is a creative means by which Cirque du Soleil recruits new production talent. The Cirque du Soleil Talent Acquisition team will be specifically seeking theatre technicians of all levels of experience with knowledge in the following fields: Automation; Rigging; Lighting; Sound; Carpentry; Wardrobe; Props; Production Management; Stage Management; and Artistic Direction.
