See Christine Ebersole like you've never seen her before! For one night only on September 18th, Ebersole will be in concert at New World Stages in New York City. Ebersole, the Tony winning star of Grey Gardens, is set to light the night on fire when she performs in this benefit concert for The Actors' Fund of America.

Ebersole is creating a brand new, not-to-be-missed evening of show and song that rejoices in the proposition that we can't be afraid of being who we are. Inspired by her Grey Gardens character's justifiably iconic line, "You know; they can get you in East Hampton for wearing red shoes on a Thursday... and all that sort of thing. I don't know whether you know that," Ebersole is planning a risk-taking concert event that is new and unlike anything anyone has ever seen her do. "I haven't slept in three days," she recently told the show's producer, "I am so on fire about September 18th."

The evening's musical director is Bette Sussman, an award-winning composer whose career has spanned nearly three decades and whose talents include musical direction, keyboard, producing, writing and arranging, as well as performing as a vocalist. Sussman, who was musical director for and toured with Bette Midler's "Kiss My Brass" tour, has performed and recorded with an incredible array of international artists, has done radio and television commercials as well as TV specials, and has sat in with Paul Shaffer's band on The Late Show with David Letterman. Sussman also served as musical director for Ebersole's 2004 stint at The Carlyle.

An Evening with Christine Ebersole is one of a series of intimate events produced by The Actors' Fund to raise support for the vital programs and services of The Fund. "The generosity that the Actor's Fund has shown over the decades to creative artists in need is overwhelming," said Ebersole. "I am thrilled to be a part of this evening of celebration. It is an opportunity for all of us to share in the magnanimous spirit that is the Actor's Fund."

An Evening with Christine Ebersole will be presented Monday, September 18, at 7:30 pm at New World Stages, 340 West 50th Street. Tickets are $100/$250/$500 and can be ordered by calling 212.221.7300 ext. 133, faxing 212.764.0238 or e-mailing tickets@actorsfund.org.
