Chris Rock Joins LA Theatre Works' THE MOTHERF***ER WITH THE HAT Broadcast

Chris Rock will join previously announced members of the original Broadway cast, including Tony-nominated Bobby Cannavale and Elizabeth Rodriguez, when L.A. Theatre Works presents Stephen Adly Guirgis' high-octane hit The Motherf***er with the Hat.

Six performances will be recorded in front of a live audience at UCLA's James Bridges Theater, Jan. 31 through Feb. 2, 2013, for later radio broadcast.

L.A. Theatre Works' syndicated radio theater series airs weekly on radio stations nationwide and can be streamed on demand at www.latw.org.

The 2011 world premiere of Stephen Adly Guirgis' smash hit new Broadway comedy THE MOTHER WITH THE HAT was nominated for six 2011 Tony Awards, including Best Play, Best Direction of a Play (Anna D. Shapiro), Best Leading Actor in a Play (Bobby Cannavale), Best Featured Actor in a Play (Yul Vázquez), Best Featured Actress in a Play (Elizabeth Rodriguez) and Best Scenic Design of a Play (Todd Rosenthal). The play was also nominated for six Outer Critics Circle Awards, three Drama Desk Awards and three Drama League Awards all including Best Play.
