CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG, the most fantasmagorical stage musical in the history of everything, announces an extension of its unique Broadway performance schedule. Due to the overwhelming popularity of our initial family friendly playing schedule, all evening performances to begin at 7pm starting Tuesday, July 5.

The production currently plays: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at 7pm, Friday and Saturday at 8pm, with matinees on Wednesday at 2pm, Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 3pm. Tickets range from $20 to $100, and are available through Ticketmaster.com at (212) 307-4100 or (800) 755-4000.

CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG makes its American premiere at Broadway's Hilton Theatre (213 West 42nd Street), beginning previews on Sunday, March 27, 2005 and opening on Thursday, April 28, 2005. The cast of forty four in CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG is led by Rau?l Esparza as Caractacus Potts, Erin Dilly as Truly Scrumptious, Philip Bosco as Grandpa Potts, Marc Kudisch as Baron Bomburst, Jan Maxwell as Baroness Bomburst, Chip Zien as Goran, Robert Sella as Boris, Kevin Cahoon as the Childcatcher, Frank Raiter as the Toymaker and as the children, Henry Hodges as Jeremy and Ellen Marlow as Jemima.

This stage adaptation of the internationally-known hit film of Ian Fleming's timeless story, CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG features a beloved score, which includes memorable classics such as "Truly Scrumptious", "Toot Sweets", "Hushabye Mountain" and the Oscar-nominated title song "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang."

CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG has music & lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman, who also wrote Mary Poppins, The Slipper and the Rose, The Aristocats and The Jungle Book. The Sherman Brothers have won two Academy Awards with a further nine nominations, two Grammy Awards and they have received 21 gold and platinum albums. The original film, which was adapted for the screen by Roald Dahl (Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory) from the novel by Ian Fleming (author of all James Bond novels), has been adapted for the stage by Jeremy Sams, whose recent theatre work includes Spend Spend Spend, Noises Off and Amour. CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG is directed by former Royal Shakespeare Company artistic director, Adrian Noble, with musical staging by Gillian Lynne, whose stage credits include Cats and The Phantom of the Opera. The show will feature sets and costumes by Anthony Ward, lighting by Mark Henderson and sound design by Andrew Bruce. The orchestrations and dance arrangements are by Chris Walker and musical direction and supervision by Robert Scott.

CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG is produced on Broadway by Dana Broccoli, Barbara Broccoli, Michael G. Wilson, Frederick Zollo, Nicholas Paleologos, Jeffrey Sine, Harvey Weinstein, East of Doheny Theatricals and Michael Rose Limited.

The London production of CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG was nominated for 3 Laurence Olivier Awards in 2003, including Best New Musical, and won Best Musical at the Variety Club Awards in 2003. The production opened on April 16, 2002 to rave reviews and record-breaking business at the London Palladium. CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG continues to be one of the West End's most popular and top-grossing shows.
